Rebuilding a manufacturer’s website on a modern, editable stack

Client: an architectural millwork and cabinetry manufacturer in Southern California, serving homeowners and contractors.

The challenge

The company’s WordPress site had grown over many years. It carried a shop, cart and wishlists nobody used anymore, several overlapping enquiry forms, and a catalog structured like a newsletter. It was slow, awkward to update and no longer reflected the business.

What we did

  • Rebuilt the site on Next.js with Payload CMS, so the team can edit every page themselves with live preview
  • Removed the unused shop features and consolidated the forms into one enquiry flow with bot protection
  • Redirected the old WordPress URLs to their new homes to preserve existing search rankings
  • Added automated sitemaps, structured metadata and analytics events for calls, emails and form submissions
  • Moved hosting to a managed platform, with an ongoing maintenance plan to keep everything current

The result

A faster, easier-to-maintain website the team updates on their own, with legacy search traffic carried over and a maintenance plan keeping the stack secure and up to date.
